The Yellow Point Drama Group Play Readings

Our next play reading session will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, 7:00 pm in the green room.
We continue to look for short or one act plays suitable for production in our fall production.
This month we will read “After Magritte” by Tom Stoppard, a flamboyant, surreal comedy where legitimate reasoning is often used to bolster absurd argument. Stoppard, recently deceased, was a British playwright renowned for his contributions to theatre and film.
Play readings are a social event and opportunity to engage and come together in a welcoming, casual setting, where participants can choose to read or listen for their own enjoyment. It creates a social forum for conversation and camaraderie, encouraging potential directors to bring forward plays for possible future productions.
Scheduling is subject to calendared events in the Hall, and the availability of the theatre’s Green Room. When a play reading is scheduled, notices will be posted on the YPDG website and distributed through email.
If you have a script you'd like to bring forward, or if you have interest in directing a short play please contact Brian March at the following address: bribar@telus.net
