Professor Peach has been murdered, but by whom?  Two colleagues, his wife and a troubled student all have motive and opportunity. The out of town inspector is not pleased with the assignment nor with the obstinate officer assisting in the investigation. And will the inspector's personal issues cloud the police instincts and wiles needed to solve the crime?

Only time will tell.
